Invalid response, more details in JavaScript Console (F12)

In this documentation page you’ll find answers for frequently asked questions about Google Analytics Dashboard for WP.

If you have any errors displayed under Google Analytics -> Errors & Debug, you should start by checking these error codes first.

If you can’t find the right answer, go to WordPress.org support forums and drop a question there. Try to give as many details as possible about your issue.

“Invalid response, more details in JavaScript Console (F12)” is displayed. How can I view the details?

Depending on your browser follow these steps:

  • On Google Chrome press F12 or right-click on the page, select Inspect and then select the Console tab.
  • On Mozilla Firefox press F12 or right-click on the page, select Inspect Element and then select the Console tab.
  • On Internet Explorer 9+ press F12 or right-click on the page, select Inspect Element and then select the Console tab.

You should be able to see more details about the error in your browser’s JavaScript Console.

Details about the error might also be available under Google Analytics -> Errors & Debug screen. In addition, if this page doesn’t contain any error details, check your PHP error log for memory limits and other related errors.
