How to Install the ExactMetrics Plugin on Your WordPress Site

In this guide, we’ll walk through the process of installing ExactMetrics on your WordPress site.

Prerequisites:

To get started, navigate to the site where you want to install ExactMetrics and log in to the WordPress admin dashboard.

  1. Remove any Google Analytics tracking code you may have installed previously.
  2. Remove any other Google Analytics plugins, OR disable the tracker on the other GA plugins if you’re going to use ExactMetrics’ tracker. (You can use the Tag Assistant Plugin for Chrome by Google to make sure only one UA code is tracking when you’re logged out or viewing in incognito mode.)
  3. If you haven’t yet created a Google Analytics account, you’ll want to follow these instructions to create a Google Analytics account.

Step 1: Navigate to the “Add New Plugin” Screen in Your WordPress Site

To install ExactMetrics on your WordPress Site, navigate to Plugins » Add New and in the search bar type in Google Analytics Dashboard for WP
