EU Compliance Addon Settings

If you’ve been wondering about what settings can be found within the ExactMetrics EU Compliance Addon this article details what is available to you.

The EU Compliance Addon is an automated way to ensure that your Google Analytics settings are compliant with international regulations, such as the GDPR and Cookie Laws, without any settings needing to be changed.

You can find this guide as part of our Getting Started with the EU Compliance Addon series. Please see the previous link for the full instructions.

Please check the bottom of this guide for a legal disclaimer that is important.

There is one exception to all settings being automatically set within the addon, that is if you have the AMP addon installed on your site and you want to have an AMP cookie consent box displayed to users before tracking is started.

If this is the case, go to ExactMetrics » Settings and click Tracking » EU Compliance.

Then toggle the box labeled as Wait for AMP consent box?

Note: Please be aware this setting is only available if you have the AMP addon installed.

If you have any cache plugins active on your website, either installed within WordPress or provided by your web hosting provider, we recommend that you clear your cache after you have installed the EU Compliance Addon.

Otherwise, no further configuration is required.

You can find the rest of our guide for the addon within our Getting Started with the EU Compliance Addon for more information about compliance with the EU’s GDRP and Cookie Laws while using Google Analytics.
